The Importance of Standing in Your Truth

What’s in your heart?  What’s on your mind?  Are you allowed to speak or does something stop you?  Do you feel silenced or welcomed with your thoughts and concerns?  Are you allowed to ask questions? Seek support? Access all resources? Contact any person?  Information is power, and you have a right to feel empowered to make informed decisions.  Resources exist for a reason, and you have a right to explore them all to get sound advice.  Take a moment to think about the communities you are a part of.  Are you accepted, valued and supported?  Are you free to be yourself?  Are you allowed to disagree?

You have a right to ask questions, and to set boundaries.  You don't have to protect anyone's ego or reputation at your own expense.  Your job is to take care of yourself; advocate for yourself.  Although communication styles may differ, it's important to listen and find the bridge to understanding.  Seeking understanding is the goal.

Your truth will always guide you.  Don't let yourself be silenced.

I've learned to stand in my truth regardless of the consequences.  Because, I believe now, that it's the only way to live.   In fact, I think that's the secret to life. When you stand in your truth, you are protected by something greater. You provide the opportunity for all things to align and fall into place for the highest good of everyone involved.
