What's the Point?

Sometimes it's helpful to ask ourselves this question.  It's like a reset.  To re-focus on what really matters.  Where should we be pointing ourselves?  Where should we direct our energy?  This helps us to re-focus on what we want to feel and experience.  It helps us to remember the vision we have for ourselves.  What are the values that guide you?  Sometimes we have to step back and look at the bigger picture.  How do you want to be remembered?  How can you live without regrets?

The question, "what's the point?" is two-fold.  It prompts us to think with perspective (zoom out) and also to focus (zoom in).  We tend to get stuck in thought patterns and behaviors that are either self-sabotaging, unproductive or unhealthy.  We might focus our energy on the past and ruminate endlessly about things we cannot change.  We can also get stuck in mindless luxuries that are only satisfying in the short-term.  Sometimes our narratives are on a loop which makes us unable to open ourselves to an alternate truth.

Here are some mindful questions to ask yourself when you feel lost or stuck.

What is your point?

Where are you heading?

What is it like to have that focus?

What matters to you?

How can you live with no regrets?

What step can you make today?

Once you re-focus, you can trust each step you take in that direction.
It's about living with purpose.  Living with intention.
And if you decide you want to change your direction, that is okay, too.  Sometimes we have to travel one way in order to learn we want something different.
